Practice in goalie hockey is essential to develop technique and skills as a goalie.
By regularly practicing specific goalkeeping techniques, one can improve reaction skills and positional play.
Participating in goalkeeper training also provides the opportunity to work on mental aspects such as focus, decision-making and handling performance pressure.

Hockey goaltending theory focuses on basic principles of positioning, angles and reaction skills.
By understanding the game strategies and the opponents' patterns, the goalkeeper can anticipate shots and act more effectively.
Studying the theory behind the goalkeeping game is crucial to being able to apply the right techniques and tactics during match situations.

About us

We dare to say that together we are sitting on unique experiences, on many levels. Tommy Salo is the hockey goaltender who is perhaps best known as the penalty-saving hero when Tre Kronor took gold in the Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994, and who then had an NHL career with the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche before ending his hockey career with Modo and Frölunda.

Tony Cuzic was also a goalkeeper and, after his career in Frölunda, Mölndal and Bäcken, went on as a leader of first team, junior team, as goalkeeper coach and as technical coach. Most recently, Tony comes from a job as coach and sports director in SDHL.

Now we want to share our experiences and passion for the sport. We do this by developing young goalkeepers at special trainings and camps, through lectures and on our hockey trips. Among many other things.

A big step in making hockey accessible to all children and young people is our newly started Salo Foundation where you have the opportunity to contribute with a gift, equipment or training clothes.
 
An important focus for us is to work to make hockey accessible to more children and young people. This may partly involve offering free hockey camps and training days for young boys and girls. Do you want to help us along the way?
